Good one, Michael! You scored a real point there...

Of course, you could argue that the "New Democrats" did have an ideology of sorts: anti-liberalism (of the traditional variety).

You could also argue that a Militant Pragmatist cannot belong to any party, let alone found one, because that would involve swallowing/propagating a party line, which, in turn, would lead to tolerating ideologues, perhaps even (oh, horrors!) to becoming one.

Oh, the complexity of it all.....
