<<BUT, there is a major difference(imho) between expressing an opinion on the thread of an equity you're following, and setting yourself up as a self-proclaimed expert on the game in general via a thread dedicated exclusively to this proposition. I point to Mr. Billy's hilarious Dog Pound as but one example, and Zeev's being another, albeit one of a lesser extreme.>> I have to disagree with you there, John. In my mind, a self-proclaimed expert would purport to know exactly what is happening and make definitive statements. Such as our "inside knowledge" posters. Or these definitive statments by Paul Klemencic... From March: ...<<Castle Creek is strongly bullish on Valence.>> ...<<Nope, the theory that CC is out to sell short or convert and sell Valence shares on the market as soon as they can lock in sizeable gains like this, is wrong.>> ...<<Castle Creek invested in Valence because they believe they will be successful.>> This week: ...<<We all know what will happen once we've weathered this final onslaught... the stock will start to rise as they start to cover, and then rise faster as they try to cover faster,...And then when the stock price goes past 5.30 or so, which is the weighted average price since July 27th, and they still are short shares,... Well then the panic sets in and the rout is on.>> These statements seem to me to be the definitive statements of a self-proclaimed expert. I doubt you can find similar definitive statements from Zeev. Not only that, but Zeev has a remarkeable habit of being right. Whereas Paul's claims from March now appear to be quite mistaken, and his definitive claim of what will happen next week may turn out to be erroneous as well.
