Sidney.

If I might jump in. I have had similar problems with my printer when printing graphics. As I interpret my error, I don't have enough memory in my printer to allow the graphic to be loaded AND printed. More memory is an option except my printer is old so why waste the money.

If what you're inserting is a picture, remember, the format you save a file in determines its ultimate size. For example the thekilt picture saved in different formats comes out like this:

thekilt.bmp 504kb
thekilt.gif 104kb
thekilt.jpg 35kb
thekilt.tga 489kb
thekilt.tif 505kb

If you're importing a clipart type of graphics, you can still change the format as suggested above.

MS Word 97 will allow any of the above formats to be imported. Try a different format such as jpg and see how it works and if the color quality is acceptable.

ViewPrint is a good software package to save, view and perform slight modifications (i.e. clipping, format changes etc.). Its not freeware or shareware but it was reasonably priced a few years ago ($40 or so if I remember right). It also provides a number of other graphic capabilities such as movies, audio and slideshows. And no, this is not a paid advertisement ;)

Hope this helps.
Dwane

looks like dwane has helped you. i hope so.

the only "idea" i have is that from time to time i have ms word probs when printing. not often. but they are always corrected by rebooting.
