These fellows don't spend their time complaining to congress about their adversaries they just spend their time planning on how to best them.

That last throw-away point in your post should be clarified. Microsoft has, in fact, spent at least some time complaining. They complained not to Congress, but rather the DOJ about their adversaries in the online travel business.

Several months ago Microsoft and a group of independent travel agents reportedly asked DOJ to investigate what they called anticompetitive actions of the airlines.
