The web,unfortunately is not the font of all knowledge. I do not have a web site to directly point to you. However, below is a quote from the qcom annual report. In addition, unless I am mistaken, there was a statement made at the annual meeting that qcom asics were winning 9 out of 10 competitions for customers.

There are 3 companies currently licensed to make cdma asics for the merchant market 1)DSP Communications,2)LSI Logic and 3)PrarieComm Inc. There has been some talk reported about MOT entering the merchant chip market, but this is still in the rumor stage.
