SAN FRANCISCO (CBS MW) -- If you're over 40, you can remember back when a "crack salesman"' was a guy who sold merchandise -- legal merchandise. He was a crack salesman.

Fortune has just released its list of "The 40 Richest People Under 40," and Dell CEO Michael Dell (DELL: news, msgs) tops the list with a net worth of $21.5 billion. Dell, therefore, is one of the few people in the world who can write a check and have the bank bounce.
