"Traders are now focusing on a
report of April-June growth, slated for release Thursday.
''The dollar might fall below 108 yen before the release of
the GDP report,'' said Tetsu Aikawa, a foreign exchange manager
at Sanwa Bank Ltd.

The dollar earlier fell as low as 109.15 yen and recently
traded at 109.38 yen, down from 110.04 yen in late New York
trading Friday. The euro fell as low as 115.50 yen and currently
traded at 115.73 yen, down from 116.77 yen in New York. The
European single currency fell to $1.0583 from $1.0612 Friday. "
