BigDog or anyone, comments on NE? Large block insider sales last month have me a little concerned. NE is a high quality company and, from what I gather, James Day is among the more highly-regarded driller execs out there. Yet Day (CEO and Chairman) and B. Welliver, CFO and Sr. VP, dumped one heck of a lot of stock last month (204,000 and 70,000 shares, respectively). What's up with that? In Day's case, it was more than half his holdings. Seems counter-intuitive if they agreed with the Boom 2000 thesis. My only other thought (UTTER CONJECTURE OBVIOUSLY) is that the sales are tied into a takeover.
