I don't support their communist system, as I don't believe in communism. But it's not communism that's the threat, it's nationalism. Hitler wasn't a communist you know; he hated them. But he was dangerous as an aggressive nationalist. China can become completely capitalist, more so than the US even. But they could still believe in annihilating us because we're in the way of their nationalist/expansionist goals. As Sun Tzu taught: "The good general knows when to fight, and when to hold back." If China wants to attack Japan, they can do that without ever setting foot on Taiwan. True? So how does holding Taiwan stop an attack on Japan?
