Are you saying that the Handgun did the killing?
So if I dropped a bathtub on you it would be the tubs fault?

Now lets see....... how many people have been killed by hand guns during that same period...... Lets talk about priorities shall we?

Causes of death:

Mountain lions - 2
Handguns - ?
Cars - ?
Tobacco - ?

I didn't know lions killed anyone in California, but at two deaths, they don't seem to be a big problem. Perhaps guns are a bigger killer, but smoke and booze are worse.

Cheers, PW.

What are you talking about? Ok, mountain lions, whatever. I was merely saying that in those instances I can see killing an animal to save a human, agreeing with Horn's "peoples' safety comes first". Now where the hell do you get this stupid idea of lecturing me about something totally disconnected from what I said?
But since you want to bring up this stupid gun debate, guns don't kill people. It's the person pulling the trigger. Are you one of those 'leniant toward criminals, they just need help' kind of people? If so, get a life. The reason so many people die by guns is because the PEOPLE shooting them don't fear the consequences like they should. Now, if you really want to start a gun argument with someone, "The Truth About Waco" or "The 2nd Amendment" threads are still out there, and they love this argument. I really don't care. I don't own any, I have friends and relatives who do, I support the right to own them.
But I tell you what, pez, let's ban guns so you can walk the street at night without fear, and when the people who obtain these guns illegally shoot you anyway, those criminals who just need a little help and compassion, I'll be sure to pay my respects at your funeral.

California bobcat incidents a while back, >> I assume you meant mountain lions... By the way There have been something like 18 mountain lion attacks in CA in the last twenty years...With a big two deaths. Now lets see....... how many people have been killed by hand guns during that same period...... Lets talk about priorities shall we?

Glad you mentioned that... I was wondering... I saw a bobcat once, looks kindof like a muscular cat with a little bob tail. The same size as a domestic housecat... could be dangerous I suppose if you are a squirrel but to a human?

The mountain lions have come around here due to the deer overpopulation (and I do mean overpopulation) in some public park areas... you can't blame the mountain lions, its an easy meal, but they want the deer not the people... coyotes are an overpopulation problem too.
