The point I was attempting to make was that your analogy was faulty....We have no problem passing laws to protect people from any unsafe products . If it has proven to be truly unsafe. << You are blaming the inanimate object...>> I am not blaming any thing.. There is a chain of events that takes place when a murder happens...More often than not a gun is involved. No one claims that the gun is guilty. Of course it is an inanimate object. But if we can get the gun out of the hands of the killer often we prevent the murder. I make no claim that changes in these laws will solve this problem,just make the situation better.... Don't make it easy for the killer. << The biggest reason you still have your 1st amendment rights in this country is because of your 2nd amendment rights.>> I don't believe you have demonstrated this. First amendment rights have fluctuated along with court rulings not with changes in gun control laws. pez
