Bill, In any event the main effect of this war with AMD will show up in the next two quarters where the price cuts will come home to roost. In case you hadn't noticed, INTC has had the same "Scorched-Earth" policy for the past decade, cutting the prices of chips as they moved to higher ground, leaving scraps for competitors all the while maintaining healthy profit margins themselves. I do not believe AMD is any different than Cyrix, Nex-Gen etc etc etc etc BK
