GO*QCOM: All of what you say is music to the ears. And my personal sign off slogan on the old thread was "Onward and Upward" .

Also I think George Gilder, Perry LaForge and Gregg Powers are correct in saying that the war is over. Just rear guard skirmishes are left for TDMA and over a longer time frame, GSM. And analog is converting to CDMA all over the world right now.

BUT as Eric L. has reminded us, just because in the long run CDMA is the clear winner does not mean it is time to relax and assume nothing bad happens.

In this world, bad things happen. Probably the worst case is that QDOG is right that wireless data may not need CDMA necessarily two or three years from now - for massive wireless data transmission. Wireless fiber is in place now for data - huge wireless pipes. Satellites are being launched with major data capacity (one by Loral this month for example) and more are coming..

The FCC is actively delaying or perhaps destroying the first major CDMA data wholesale company Nextwave. Again as Eric L, has pointed out politics and vendor financing are both wild cards here. The stakes are huge.

Without any doubt the Q will prosper IMO. And the Q is my horse in this race.

But there are hurdles yet to jump and the race has hazards not yet seen.

Given that the Q has overcome massive obstacles and difficulty to date, I for one do not question the Q's management's ability to do well - damn well - but some factors my be beyond the Q's management control. An example would be politics or a new killer technological alternative.

But my sign off for the Q remains.

Chaz

Onward and Upward

PS Note: I am referring to Eric L. and QDOG posts on the other thread as well as this one.

GoQ,

Re: At&T,Bell South,Omnipoint,Pacific Bell all candidates for the sand traps that make Dune look benign.Archiologists digging for past civilization will find the old rusty GSM/TDMA ancient fossiles in the sand in the 3000 and wonder what that was all about.Nextwave will rise from the ashes of the C Block asphyxia with new found allies and order BIG from the shiny new buildings in the Wireless Valley.

yes...yes...good...good...taking on a gilderish hue.
