I have to admit to being a little impatient when getting into short positions. It comes from my position trading days when it was usually okay to be early. It's something that I'm working on fixing.

Here's a question. When there is a runaway trend, how many of you will go long? If it's early in the trend I might go long, but after it's gone on for a while I get real nervous about getting in. It's hard to know how long these trends last. I've been burned in the past getting in late on a trend and seeing the stock drop so fast I couldn't get out without taking a multipoint loss. I guess these bad experiences tend to keep me out of the long side of these runs.
