EBay's site has been non-functional since 6:50 EST.
The announcement board states "partial inaccessibility".
If what they mean is that the front page is accessible,
but nothing else is, then it's true. In any other world
except EBay's execs' fantasyland, what is happening is
"total inaccessibility".

I am so excited about ebay's future. Internet enables communication among the masses, and eBay enables the transaction.

Awareness and trust are still issues for them to address with mass public in order to ensure strong future growth.

Absolutely. The growth potential for EBay is enormous considering the amount of buyers and sellers that are already conducting auctions on the site. With this sort of momentum, it only grows bigger like a giant cluster.

Of course, they are going to have to work on investing more in mission-critical applications to help keep the site from crashing. And it appears they are working on it.

What should be interesting is to see how EBay responds to such "Vertical Auctions" that focus on say.. Cars, Boats, or particular regions of the country.
