You would deny safe, early abortion even to those Americans who do feel they are ethical and important and will decrease the amount of misery in the world, deny them even in the early stages of pregnancy? Edwarda, are you saying that you would have your definition, which I would characterize as necessarily religious, or mystical, of the embryo, inform the law, enforced by criminal sanctions, for those American women with different views? Do you oppose legalization of RU486? Do you acknowledge that it is only the poor who will suffer from this governmental prohibition you apparently advocate?

Edwarda, c.horn answered Yes to this question, and I wonder if your views differ from his, and if so, how. Because I consider these views totalitarian: "Are you saying that as soon as "the cell splits in two" there is, by your definition, a "human being," inside the woman, and that you would advocate that the American government should force all female American citizens to live by your definition of those cells, and be required to carry them in their uteruses until they are no longer microscopic cells, but in fact are babies?"
