I most certainly have experienced that. And it's frustrating as hell sometimes as the facilitator because after the meeting I will be told some critical piece of information that could have led the team down a completely different path. When I say something like "why didn't you say that during the meeting"? Often times I will find out about some other underlying issue completely unrelated.

Women in general seem far more connected to the underlying emotive issues which are potentially effecting a member, their stance and how it relates to a teams direction.

The best team I facilitated took about 9 months to really come out of their shell. 3 of the 7 members were women and their full participation was critical to the success. Trust is a big issue that must be completely felt by the team. Covey training works especially well with teams that are significantly female oriented IMO. The trust domain is very important and can never be underemphasized.

Even given all our sexist problems as a society, I've always thought one of the main reasons America has done so well economically vs the rest of the world is because we as a society are far more capable of utilizing the talent of women. The internet will only encourage this trend since many young women are showing increasing skill and adaptation to the tools of the computer revolution. Nearly all of the rest of the world is destructively behind tapping into this knowledge pool.

Thanks for the software, I've already downloaded it and will check it out. I better do it quick because I only have 21 days left! :-)
