Thanks Labman. Good article. 3-4 yrs ago Cybersurf developed one of the first secure web banking systems which was used by several Calgary
banks. The push for national market never materialized probably due to the other Cybersurf developed products that were being launched at the same time (Patented T1 Virtual technology that allowed users of old PCs (286) to operate as fast as a Pentium with their service.)
IMO although not to late for CY to mkt such to banking I do see the light in the tunnel for banks to create and offer their own 3web network to their clients - Molson did it I believe with 3Web in Edmonton for their university.
By the way I have sources that have told me that in August CY was in talks for a major financing deal. A couple of days later the CEO did a TV CBC interview and when asked if they were looking for financing he replied : all the financing needed for Toronto launch was done with CallNet deal - no other money was Toronto deal but in the futur such could be needed for U.S. distribution deal. This rumour came from one source and has not been confirmed from other sources. Has anyone heard same?
