Uncle Frank: Chuckle. As you well know, that was not I (note careful English) but someone I do not know who was suggesting he/she is planning on laying out $l00,000 on each. As the old saying goes, there is many a slip between the cup and the lip and I have no idea whether that person means what he/she says. This was for fun on a holiday and again as you know, in no way am I recommending that anyone here put $1 in either, let alone $100,000.

Assume those here do their own due diligence.

On the companies themselves. I do know of and respect the management of Sycamore since several of them launched Cascade Communication and it flew well until Ascend took it over. Beyond that I haven' t a clue.

And on the other, I know nothing other than what I have read on SI.

To each his/her own after doing their own research along the lines Mike Buckley might do - a high standard indeed. :-)

PS And Frank once they are on the market they are no longer IPO's and I bought Cisco soon after its IPO. :-) Still old dog tricks.
