<<OK. But I was talking about "get up and move around and bite things" life. For us creatures that develop from the uniting of sperm and egg, comes a unique DNA, that blindly draws what it needs into itself, and then uses those simple building blocks (thanks, Lather) to make ever more complex structures using a template that is encoded into a complex string of simple nucleic acids, and decoded into complex strings of simple nucleic acids. >>

And ain't it a damn shame such a miracle is killed in an abortion? I think the best idea on the abortion issue would be for humans to become the advanced animals humans think they are. Get rid of poverty, advance pregnancy control. Every child is wanted. Someone shoot me, I'm nuts for thinking this will ever happen.

I see your Boggle and raise you a double Boggle!

You see the difficulty I had with "blindly" -- it stands in "contradiction" to "...DNA...draws what it needs into itself" and "The way that cells "know" where to go..."

It seems to me that it is pretty much impossible to discuss these things without using terms that imply intelligent design of the operating system.

Hmmm, maybe bill needs to study biology. Or get religion.
