Yes... and it doesn't surprise me. I am of the opinion that many people, primarily men but not all, confuse this issue with one of control or some sort of romanticism of the past (50s), etc. Of course they won't tell you that, so they hide behind some religious definition of life. Whenever I see strong opinions on this matter, which do not appear to be easily articulated or well thought out, I assume this to be the case. Some people don't even try to hide it... I have heard some say that gun violence is on the rise today thanks to abortion, that it "cheapens life" and other such nonsense. In short nothing surprises me. Thats why I like to ask if any of these strong pro-lifers have ever been in a situation where a teenage girl (or young woman) dear to them has ever been forced to give birth and give that child up for adoption. Statistically, if these guys are "practicing what they preach" you would expect at least a few cases of this wouldn't you? At least one pro-life congressperson with a pregnant teenage daughter or somebody's friend or something. But no, never have they seen this happen. Well something just doesn't add up then, does it?
