Mum's the word!

Had difficulty on Yahoo thread, demand vs. supply vs. price.

I thought future demand explosive, but then read this interesting quote from interview with Jim Crowe, LVLT:

"If he's right, Level 3 and its competitors - including Qwest, IXC, Global Crossing and the Williams Cos. - are prepared to spin fiber into gold."

"If you drop the price 1 percent, is demand going to go up more than 1 percent or less than 1 percent?' Crowe asks, happily engaged in a techno-Socratic dialogue. "Now you'd think in an industry as big as communications, and as globally important as communications, that would be one of the best-researched questions of all time. Yet, there's absolutely no research that is of much use at all.'

There are a lot of research companies out there like Pioneer and I think it's RDK publishing reports. I wonder if he doesn't believe them or if he is saying, "It is so big no one can know." Everyone is sure betting a lot of money that it is HUGE.
