SMART GUNS, STUPID LIBERALS You already know Washington spends a lot of your money on dumb ideas. But you may not have heard about the latest: "Smart Guns." The Clinton Administration wants to spend millions on so-called smart-gun technology....a gun that can only be fired by it's owner. The only problem is: no one knows how to make a smart gun affordable. A study by Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque concluded that it may take "a generation of smart-gun systems to come and go" before they could compete with standard guns. Experts say the computer power needed for a gun to recognize its owner's finger-prints is more advanced than that found in our nuclear missiles....sorry I should say China's nuclear missiles. I have an idea that's smarter than smart-guns.. Enforce the laws!! Put gun-toting crooks in jail. But I guess this is another demonstration of the vast differences between liberals and conservatives: We conservatives expect people to think, rather than guns. C
