It is amazing that John Wilkes had such insight on this issue, given his attitude toward Lincoln.

It was George Santayana, a Spanish (by birth) philosopher, not a South American historian, who said that. And what he said, more precisely, was: "Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it."

There is a difference between "ignoring" and "not knowing," btw.

I see that you have just posted a long text about slavery. I imagine it must have some connection to our prior exchange about what your position re American women should be called, since you object to "totalitarian," though I explained in detail how I concluded it applied. I asked you for an alternative to it.

You have admitted that as soon as a microscopic cell splits in two inside an American woman's uterus, you advocate that the American government force her to live by your definition of those cells as a "human being," and force her to carry them in her uterus until they are no longer microscopic cells, but in fact are babies.

Is "slavery-advocate" the alternative to the word "totalitarian" I asked you for?

If I weren't so scared of you, I'd be laughing.
