2 Minutes? Isn't that pushing it a bit? LOL Post it if you want, but it's just opinion, and doesn't break any new ground. At this point my opinion is that the consumers will decide, which is probably as it should be. Your prior post concerning compatibility problems are probably part of the reason for the insistence on RDRAM. Other than that, I'm sure they have their reasons, one of which is probably their stake in Rambus. I really don't trade RMBS, though I have shorted it profitably in the past. Carl

wily, to make a long story short, I believe that INTC is supporting RMBS for only one reason, they want to make absolutely sure that the speed bottle neck in a PC is the processor, not other devices such as DRAM or chipsets. If they let slow RAM control the overall speed of the PC, there is no incentive for users to pay premium for higher speed processors and INTC margins go into the tank. With RMBS they can see a road map out to about three years (possibly five) where once more, the bottle neck is the processor, and thus INTC can come with faster CPU at very fat margins. That is of course just one man's opinion, and is worth no more than $.02. MU's price however will, IMHO, be completely disconnected of the RMBS saga for the next few months, since I believe that in this period, the "scenario" will be the controlling factor. Zeev
