Here is what I said earlier on the subject:

Basically, there are two questions: although most of us believe that there are those who are homosexual who can do little about it, and therefore we want to be tolerant of an activity that is, after all, not very socially harmful, the causality is unclear, and there are people who have bisexual impulses, so that they may be affected by events and indoctrination later in life. The question is, then, is it alright for society to re- enforce their heterosexual impulses, and to show a definite preference for heterosexuality? The second question is this: Is it right for the schools to undermine parental authority by aggressively teaching things that cast parents in a bad light for holding opposing beliefs? On the first question, I would say that society does have a right to favor heterosexuality, and to promote family life. On the second, I think that the schools ought to be very sparing in undermining parental authority, especially in the younger grades, and should approach highly controversial issues, if at all, with delicacy.....
