Ike, I have no QQQ puts at the moment. I tend to trade them in the pizzazz portfolio rather than make them long term trend plays.

I like the Dow better than the QQQ because: 1. It is "THE MARKET." 2. Analysts make up fewer lies for Caterpillar than they do for Intel. 3. The co mgt's., in general, are more honest about business conditions than the Nasdaq geeks. 4. They are not part of the New Pair of Dimes, except for excessive price levels. 5. Everyone knows they can have bear markets, as they have had many in the past. Many folks don't think Cisco can have a bear market. They are wrong, but that means you may be able to take profits on the Down moving down and still have time to put the QQQ.

In general, I think the Nasdaq will fall much further than the Dow in a bear market, but the Dow is likely to fall first.
