Austin, you're neglecting whatever commission MSGI paid to its investment banker for having negotiated and executed this wonderful PP -- although that commission is probably just "noise" (either netted into the $25MM or representing minor additional dilution in terms of additional shares). I wonder about the logic of going this route rather than doing a secondary. Perhaps there was fear of depending upon the "weak hands" of individual investors (especially "internut" investors) rather than the "strong hands" of institutional investors (who manipulate the share price to effect a 25-40% discount on the stock).

MSGI management has a lot of "making up" to do with its shareholder base. I hope Mark Peterson's scenario published early last week is on target (the logic is certainly there). JMHO.

Mark / Austin, I thought you might be interested in a stock that has been around for a while but has received NO attention on SI. I started a thread today for =
TNB
Thomas & Betts has been around since electricity. They've been in the connector business, but have been accumulating a variety of other companies to keep pace with the changes in the electronic & communications industry.
Take a look and see what you think. I got into TNB when they took over a little co. I had been in for 5 years.
It's been a steady climb
