=shift of the political dialogue to right - not desirable here, also CDU too conservative to leave their social 'morals' (mostly the Oswald von Nell-Breuning-like (do you know him?) Catholic fraction) behind
=modernization desirable, but liberalization not feasible
=purely rhetorical focus not desirable. If so, I like solidaric rhetorics better.
