As the number of new entrants into the streaming market keeps growing the new comers need to invent new terminology to try and distinguish their products from others. This CA announcement is perhaps the most convoluted I have read.CA is a fine company and in fact they are producing a DSP chip for a client of mine that I believe will have a major impact on the video market place. In this instance the transmission of 20-22 frames per sec video/audio through the PSTN. But where the CA teams uses any VCST or SMAC Data products would take far too long for me to uncover. VCST sells thru VARS and others (Real Networks and Microsoft both seel VCST products) and as a result they do not necessarily know who is the end user of their stuff.Let me leave it at this-VCST/REAL have the best streamer today.Tomorrow that could change but I don't think it will for quite a while.
