pcln - i have never been comfortable with the amount of options that priceline has that make the fully-diluted market cap much higher than you see in any market cap table

fully-diluted market cap is another $2.9 billion -- another 46.8 million fully diluted shares that most observers miss when factoring its valuation

it was the same when priceline went public; it gave away a ton of options to the airlines, delta got a boatload

basically i admire priceline's success in changing the market for airline ticket buying for extra seats

it wants to move into other areas but those are experiments
meanwhile i think mercata (owned by paul allen) and accompany.com may have better aggregated buying models
