Globe says Ivanhoe acquires portfolio of royalty interests Ivanhoe Energy Inc IE Shares issued 89,727,767 Sep 7 close $4.43 Wed 8 Sept 99 In the News The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Sept. 8, edition that Ivanhoe Energy has acquired a portfolio of royalty interests on properties in California's southern San Joaquin Valley which, the company says, will form the nucleus of a new operating subsidiary. The Globe's News Bulletins column reports that Ivanhoe purchased the royalty interests for $860,000 (U.S.) in cash and 1,561,352 Ivanhoe shares, and obtained an option to acquire royalty interests for $1.5-million, payable in cash or shares, on or before March 1, 2000.
