Religious leaders should be publicly denouncing all forms of violence and I just dont see that happening. Maybe its because its not reported in the media. I have heard it denounced, but maybe its because I go out of my way to listen to what they say.

For the most part this is based on old testament views held by many conservative and jewish churches. Hence, the word sodomy. So, instead of looking to the religious right to help, you need to garner support from the libertarian and fiscal conservatives. Calling them skin heads or saying they advocate violence via silence on the issue won't help.
