Claude, yes indeed have heard of Cerro Casale-first brought to my attention by "The Chief". Lipangue should be something similar although I belive perhaps quite a bit larger. In this case, however, the relatively low elevation of Lipangue and its close proximity to utilites and Santiago should make the economics of the project a good deal better. Lipangue is not just another porphyry located at the top of the Andes! Please think of the implications involved. Also consider what erosion has done to the exposed porphyry systems in the higher elevations of the Andes. Most systems are mere fragments of their former size. Lipangue appears to be the complete package.

For starters, Lipangue should have a minerlized depth of over a kilometer stretching across the entire plateau-a distance of several miles. The huge copper mine of Chuquicamata has reserves close to 10 billion tons. 1/2 gram of gold would give us 176 million oz if we magically turn that system into a gold/copper porphyry! :)

Cheers.

"I hope you realize that you need 5 billions tons of .6g/t gold to have 100M ounces gold."

From Doppler's Report:

"5) Potential for Multi-Billion Ton Porphyry Deposit at Depth - an added bonus for CDCH is that Medinah Mining's Lipangue breccia is trending towards Cerro's property and that a new breccia zone appears to be present on CDCH's property. The alteration patterns found and confirmed at Lipangue are also apparent on Cerro Dorado's property. Geologists theorize that the parent intrusive to the CDCH and MDHM breccia pipes that run SW to NE across the Lipangue plateau (towards and onto Cerro Dorado's ground) may underlie the entire mountain at depth - leading to the possibility of a very large bulk tonnage gold-copper porphyry deposit."

So Claude-perhaps I'm not the foaming out the mouth-hypish individual you have me pegged for after all? :) Apparantly geologists have theorized the same thing that I have. A multi-billion ton gold/copper porphyry would indeed contain on the order of 100 million ounces of gold. If there is such a thing-certainly they are looking in the right place for it!

"What is the largest porphyry in Chile ?"

The porphyry located under Alto De Lipangue-of course! The other leading candidate is the porphyry system owned/optioned by Rock Resources located to the NE of Lipangue.
