Not to get too far into the religious field, but I always understood that only the creator had the right to decide who lived or died, and to take that decision into your own hands was sacrilege.
So when God helps to smite someone, then it was meant to be.

Nope, there is not one iota of religious content in the argument. I mentioned atheism because it is unusual for someone of such proclivities to be as sensitive to the issue as E is, in calling for an end to mid- term abortions. The argument is that if there is no sufficient logical distinction as one carries the analysis backwards, then the fetus should be regarded as a Person, and accorded the right to life. If there is a doubt expressed about the embryo because of the lack of full formation, I think it at best creates the situation of doubt I invoked....Since I am a theist, not an Evangelical Christian, I would not make the argument on Biblical grounds in the first place.....
