I understood it. I was disappointed in Neocon for the reply he gave to my pointing it out. It is better just to explain one's agenda than to underestimate your audience, I think. It is not disreputable to mention that my atheism and his Christian definitions affect our perceptions, imo. In fact, it is a point I have been trying to make. What I think is less above reproach is the way in which it was dropped into the conversation in this case. Because I am his "favorite atheist"? Give me a break. This is an example of a person's being "too clever by half." And then not owning up. Ironical, because Neo did not need to be so clever; intelligence would have sufficed; and he has that.
