TSE experiencing data feed problems
Tue 7 Sept 99 News Release
Mr. Steve Kee reports
The Toronto Stock Exchange is experiencing communications difficulties at
this time affecting outbound information on the high-speed vendor feed and
the Canadian consolidated data feed. This problem is affecting members'
gateway access to the TSE as well as some information transmitted to the
derivatives trading floor. As a result, the TSE has closed (11:30 am) the
derivatives trading floor until further notice.
Equity order entry and order enquiry, as well as trading through CATS
(computer assisted trading system) is proceeding normally.
The TSE has determined that resolution of this situation requires that the
equity market be closed at 12:15 for approximately 15 minutes. There will
be a 20-minute preopen from 12:30 p.m. to 12:50 p.m., after which time
trading is expected to resume normally.

"not kidding, by the way, MSE is open"

Did you notice that few traders ever rush to the MSE to trade what they can on the TSE? Few banks trading on MSE.
