That's the religion's way of controlling people. Imagine what would happen if the poor people in the world suddenly realized that there is no god -and therefore there is no master plan for them to be poor -and that there is no heaven for them to go to after death or be reincarnated with a better life -and that killing is a not a sin (there is no sin if there is no god) They would take up arms against the rich. They would be like animals where survival of the fittest would prevail. Of course survival of the fittest still prevails. But in the case of humans they use their brains more than their brawn. And religion is one of those brainy creations.
