I know you only made this as an aside, but it interests me as an argument. Particularly, why you think it makes any difference at all to the discussion. Because in my view this is not a choice that someone makes - to be gay. The only choice they are making is whether to publicly acknowledge it. Therefore to object to homosexuality I see as a kind of prejudice similar to racism. I know most here don't agree but that won't sway me any... of course I do live near SF.
