I have owned alsc for some time; however I did not start reading the posts on this thread until about a week and a half ago. So I am not aware of all the understood transactions here. By UMC I had assumed that you were referring to United Microelectonics which is buying United Semiconductor in which alsc has a stake. If I am correct in my assumption, then I will then assume that the daily posting of the UMC closing price is to let everyone know the impact on alsc's price. Now you can confirm this with me or not...its your choice. If I have offended someone inadvertently, I apologize. Having said all that, I think I will go back to a lurking status. ted
