Heinz and all, Here are some calculations I did on average price changes for the various months of the year. Tbe data are from January 1980 through July 1999, with the exception of the NASDAQ, which begin September 1988. It appears that September is, indeed, the worst month. Not so bad for the NASDAQ, however, for fewer data points. I'm also going to do these computations just since the beginning of the NASDAQ, for an apples to apples comparison.
