Fiber: Yah, agreed. One can't go all "weak in the knees" over CSCO's involvement with LUMM, considering their other "irons". Still, it's becoming increasingly apparent(well, at least to me, heh) CSCO is desperately trying to leverage themselves into the teleco network side of things. Particularly with this "thang" called IP/Voice looming on the horizon as the ultimate destination for LEC/CLEC/LD network/facilities planners. And if you look at recent CSCO acquisitions I think you'll find my comment justified.

So wouldn't it be nice if they could take a handful of LUMM's chips and build themselves a device/card/etc. that COULD make those same planners all weak in the knees? ;-) Or perhaps...hmmm....let's see....one chip could be consider the equivalent of HOW many pizza boxes? Kind'a sort'a a real quantum leap in cost/performance benefits for DWDM and its customers, eh? Even so, right now LUMM is a speculative equity, so don't bet the baby's milk.

Regards!

John~
