I believe you are a lawyer, so I am surprised that you would argue that the "deleterious effect" of abortion is "self-evident." It isn't self-evident to me, which is why I asked if you would explain your position.

Just to make sure I understand, your contention is that the number of teenagers who kill newborns is evidence that abortion has caused teenagers, or perhaps society as a whole, to hold life less dear. So, you would agree that if it has not become more common for teenagers to kill newborns, then abortion has not caused teenagers, or society as a whole, to hold life less dear?

I don't hold life less dear but I think our children are growing up in a different culture as one can see evidenced by continuing reports of young women and men killing their own children when its too late to get an abortion. Legalized abortion is a corrosive influence which should be eliminated. I have a great deal of ambivalence relative to government and legislation in this area. I think its one of those issues like child porno where the deleterious effect is self evident and we should all agree to err on the side of life.

I do hope you aren't going to call this empirical evidence.

Legalized abortion is a corrosive influence which should be eliminated.

Hardly an ambivalent statement.

I have a great deal of ambivalence relative to government and legislation in this area.

Then how do you expect to eliminate this "corrosive influence"?
