LUMM...don't miss this one. Read...

<<I will say this. If LUMM has been able to come up with the ability to easily build a DWDM(Dense Waveform Division Multiplexing) chip, and at the frequency of light levels I've read about(64), the telecom industry is going to beat a path to their door.
Why? Simple. On the backbone network side of things the telecom industry is even now ascending to the OC-48(and higher) level of things. All of this requires fiber, and all of it also requires DWDM the functionality of which currently is a weee tad larger than a chip. How much larger? Think BOX, or RACK. And with this thing called Broadband also becoming part of the new telecom paradigm.....welll......DWDM on a CHIP will be considered a KILLER application by the telecom community if easily manufactureable>>
