Kash and Chuck - RE: "<The stock has been unusually strong considering the awfull Q3 numbers expected.>

I see all the indicators turning up. Why do you say this? I would rather be pessimistic than optimistic about AMDs performance."

The stock is suprisingly strong as the market is about to close in about 5 minutes. We are at the the high of the day, and almost 600,000 shares, or about 1/10 of the day's volume, have been traded in about 20 minutes (I got that from the difference btwn real time and delayed quotes).

Like Kash, I am somewhat surprised with the stock lately. Best Buy had an "engineering sample" 550MHz IBM Athlon system on Saturday, but nothing for sale. I don't think they are available yet. No sign of Compaq either. Look at pricewatch - we will probably have much lower K6-X ASPs, maybe even lower than Jerry's mid-$50s prediction.
