Respect for life and the desire to see respect for all human life at whatever stage protected by legislation need not have anything to do with religion at all. That's a specious argument. JLA

You've said you are going to
do all you can to get your religious views turned into law and make me do what you
want.

Come on, E, with all we've meant to each other, you owe you arteeste better treatment than that. I said no such thing, and if you had been reading my posts with your usual intelligence you would know it. (It's particularly disappointing since you are one of those who normally opposes ad hominum attacks.)

What I have said is that every substantive law is based moral principles; that there are no value neutral substantive laws. I haven't said I approve or disapprove. I have tried to describe what is and always has been.

You obviously view with trepidation religious groups attempting to turn their views into coercive legislation. They, equally, view with trepidation atheist or secular humanist groups trying to turn their views into coercive legislation.
