Process, Anyone know if Intel plans to tout the merced as a sixth generation CPU or seventh, seeing as how Intel continues to sell the fifth out of "the pentium".

Your reasoning is based on transistor density, but you vastly underestimate the increase in density due to local interconnect. Petz
