Clearly there are more side effects from taking thalidomide than what I listed. The point that I was trying to make was that it was perceived as downright deadly stuff for a long time, which it is not. It should not be taken for "discomfort" problems, but surely has a use for many hard to treat diseases. There are few effective drugs that don't have substantial side effects. The fact that they do have side effects means that they are actively doing something.

I don't have much more to add on the subject.
