Is it me or is it just horrendously transparent that this guy is frustrated over a currently losing position since RHAT closes near its day high.

I come back for a visit to this board for 1 day and already I am disgusted by the rudimentary vintage that is new and old.

I see the same old thing - people patting each other on the back, giving 1-800-psychic-like projections, and stating how awesome they have been at trading RHAT.

Nothing that helps me trade whatsoever, yet I still contribute hoping that some trader like myself who aims to be objective and learn from intraday charts, Level 2, etc. will benefit from my post. I must be on drugs.

...time to take a another break...have a nice day...

>>>I have shorted RHAT 3X - every time profitably, although I did average up on positions...

The bottom line is, Linux is free and RHAT's potential for revenue can never, ever meet its current stock price.
NEVER EVER...

I will continue to short RHAT on every run - as I did today, and I expect I will continue to profit from current and
future RHAT short positions.

And speaking of MSFT - I spoke to a MSFT engineer over the weekend, they just giggle at the mention of Linux.

No one really wants to learn how to use Linux and no significant corporations will switch to Linux from MSFT and
force a large staff to re-invent an already functioning wheel. Anyone who believes otherwise needs a cranium exam.

The RHAT biz plan is full of hot air, as is Linux.<<<

pluvia,

so did u short rhat today??...lol...we'll have to see what happens within the next week...rhat has been relatively flat for the past 1-2 wks and was ready to explode(and QP over)...btw, everyone knows linux is free as we have stated over and over on this thread in the past...wanna know how much rhat charges for a copy of the linux OS?...50 lousy dollars so obviously they are not relying on selling this on cd for revenues....almost all their revenues come from service and support...have u seen how much their gold service costs per yr?...so u spoke to a msft engineer and he isnt worried about linux huh?...good thing he just designs and doesnt make strategic decisions cause i bet gates is losing sleep over this as we speak...lol...linux has come out of nowhere to capture 10-15% of the server OS mkt. and their mkt. share is expanding quickly...if u really think msft is not concerned about linux, i think ur understanding of whats at stake here is lacking...rhats revenue growth is exploding and all the major computer makers are jumping on board and supporting them(ibm,dell,etc..)...now if ur limiting urself to traditional valuation methods, i agree rhat is over priced, but what high tech or inet stock isnt...while others are complaining about inet stocks being over-priced, there are some on here turning 100-200% profits within months and laughing all the way to the bank...jmho.

Come on, Steve. Doing DD with a Microsoft drone?

or they have some stupid hatred of MSFT.

There's a reason for that. This is only one of many stories about the Evil Empire. Read all these links:

You're a fool if you think the world is going to build their information structure off this crap.

Did you ask your MS drone the cost difference between running an NT Server( and paying 150/hour to reboot it) verses a L machine? Even the pointy hairs might eventually figure this one out.

Why do you think Sun bought Star?

The difference this time is Billy Boy ain't going to be able to pull is slimly tactics on this one. Too many folks watching.

Mr. P, I've known you since the TLTK days on AOL in 96??? Probably saved me on that one. You have been right on everything I've seen. Nothing against you on this one but your MS bias is showing. Just counter acting your bashing.

How much is the support and confidence of the open source community worth?

How much is the development power of hundreds of thousands (and future millions) of programmers worldwide worth? These are the best programmers in the world and not some Visual Basic drones that knows 2000 out of the 8000 API calls.

I've been a Dilbert programmer for 15 years for a F500 company. Half my projects have been failures, AND THIS IS THE INDUSTRY AVERAGE. That's right, seven years of building houses (developing software) had to be torn down. The Dilbert comic strip is based on this industry. Maybe the pointy hairs might figure out that open software is the way to go.

Whatever you do, please sell some MSFT holdings to short some more.

Wait until our Normandy invasion. RHAT at 40 Billion will make 7.5 look cheap. When LINUX is running the world you'll thank us.

Have fun crashing your machine. The RAT is going to make you feel like Richard Gere.
