for my own education--shouldn't the bsl be drawn in on the spx chart starting at the column of o's that goes down to 1270 and if not--why not? and if yes why isn't it shown on the dwa chart?

I have trouble reading charts like VISX and QCOM where they are right now. Does it matter if the base of the triangle starts with O's or X's?
